Has anyone else heard of this? I just found out about this movie the other day. It is based on a graphic novel by the same name. The story has been described as being what you might have “if Batman were written by H. P. Lovecraft.” Lovecraft – an author of weird fantasy, science fiction, and horror during the 1920s and 1930s – is most famous for his Cthulhu mythos.
The Watcher presents a world much like our own, but with a dark secret – alien beings from another realm have secretly been invading Earth for thousands of years. They’ve been lurking in the darkest shadows and the depths of the ocean, subtly corrupting and influencing mankind for generations.
As a young boy, Jude Matthews found his parents brutally murdered on their New England estate. The culprit was never identified. In his search for answers, Jude gradually came to the realization that his parents were servants of these alien beings and that they were disposed of when their usefulness expired. This revelation fractured his sanity and placed him on a path that would eventually lead him to become the Watcher – the sole defender of mankind against a threat most people are too afraid to acknowledge.
So, it sounds rather dark, but kind of cool. I’ll be interested to see what sort of reviews the movie gets when it is released in November, and I may try to find the graphic novel in the mean time.

Hmmmm, can't say that I have heard of the it before. Though the scenario for the movie sounds like classic Good guy is treated as an enemy, especially if the the aliens have place both in social and political power. The television series V has an element like that. It always adds drama to what the hero will do to complete the goal.
BTW, I posted a comment on the last entry for GASP.

This sounds like something a certain author friend of mine might write. It actually seems to have many of the elements of the kind of Sci-Fi / Fantasy that I have always enjoyed reading. Especially the story arc dealing with the aliens having been here for a very long time. I agree that it may end up being very dark but I do think I would at least like to look into the graphic novel if there is one. I'll get back to you on upcoming movies (well the TRON sequel has my interest, mainly I think since the original is from my time frame and the teaser trailer is cool).

All right, in case you haven't guessed yet: THIS IS A HOAX.
I just came up with this idea for a superhero and pieced together the movie poster with a little bit of photo manipulation. I'm sorry if I deceived anyone, but I was trying to test out how convincing my artwork was.

Now that I think of it, the last movie I saw was in July, and I didn't hear anything before then.:o Since that was the goal, though, I will say I was fooled. Having the concept though sounds nonetheless like an interesting development. What was used regarding program and parts to make it?

The program I used was ArcSoft Photo Studio 5.
I did a Google search to find the various images I needed. The guy was an advertisement for a trench coat. I drew on the goggles and adjusted the coloring. The background was just a photo of a brick building. And the green stuff at the bottom was a mixture of various insect and octopus parts with a green haze put over them. Lastly, I found the Legendary Pictures, DC Comics and Warner Brothers logos online as well.

I think I recognize the building you used, I think it was in another set of photos from a recent photo shoot. You did a great job on the movie poster and background (the release date was what tipped me off). I really like the way you were able to merge all the elements into one. This was fun! How long did it take you to put this all together?
