I really like the song Half of My Heart by John Mayer with Taylor Swift. I know it's been on the radio for a while, but it was just recently that I really payed attention to it and something about it struck a cord with me.
The music video is pretty cool as well. I'll admit it doesn't quiet match up with my own thoughts on the song, but I still like it.
Here is the video for those unfamiliar with either the song or the video. Enjoy!
"Half of my heart is a shotgun wedding
to a bride with a paper ring,
and half of my heart is the part of a man
who's never truly loved anything."
Are there any new songs that have really caught your attention lately?

I liked the video, thanks. The song really does say alot doesn't it? I too find that certain songs speak to me louder than others...

So what are your thoughts on the song?

I guess it just speaks to my own insecurities. I know my situation isn't anything exceptional, but this system just beats so much out of all of us, sometimes I wonder if I've got anything worthwhile left over to share with someone else.

Right now companionship isn't a concern of mine, if marriage is what you are referring to, and thus there is only so much I can say, but the very situation does easily apply. I listened once without the video, then the second time I watched it, and of what I understand, and do correct me if I am wrong, is just that. It's the the concern of not being able to truly give one's all, as you addressed. That is a powerful concern, especially if that treasure that revitalizes isn't seen right away. Thus it is always refreshing that we know that we have something to look forward to, Eh?
