Seeing the season premier of Heroes got me think about the various degrees of abilities that different characters exhibit. For example, Peter Petrelli is unquestionably more powerful than his brother Nathan. So I thought it might be fun to rank every Heroes character (the ones with powers anyway) by "Power Level".
I came up with three power levels. Level 1 characters have powers that amount to "tricks". They're cool, and somewhat useful, but these characters aren't likely to have any considerable impact on history by virtue of their powers. Level 2 characters have "considerable" powers. They are nearly immortal, can wipe out entire towns or cities, manipulate other people, or manifest multiple powers. Level 3 characters are nigh "unstoppable". While they may at some point be permanently defeated, it is presently uncertain how this could be accomplished.
So here below is the list of all the evolved humans by rank. I used the Heroes Wiki as a reference (http://heroeswiki.com/Main_Page).

So tell me what you think. Does ranking characters this way make sense? Did I rank any incorrectly?
I had an initial thought that since Candace could distort a person's percetion of reality that it was more level 2-ish since that could definitely be used to manipulate someone, she just got stupid with her abilities and got herself killed. But I'm not really sure anymore. I think in the hands of someone like Sylar we'll see much more interesting manifestations of it.
The vast majority of those names I don't really recognize though. The levels do make sense. I'm thinking that the company must have a similar ranking of the people they come across and I'm curious to what extent it matches your idea.
I guess that's all I have for now. :)

I'm wondering if we'll see Sylar with that power. He didn't have access to any of his abilities when he killed her, so I don't know if he could have taken hers. I guess we'll find out.

On the surface this is probably fairly accurate. You can check with the company tracker to see BIO pages and "stats" on some of the players. http://heroeswiki.com/Assignment_tracker

I was under the impression we've already seen Sylar use Candace's abilities. In the scene in Claire's house where we'd see him moving around the kitchen, or see his reflection in the glass but he wasnt there, I always wondered how she could NOT see him, and then you see he gets up upstairs and comes down AFTER you've already seen him like stalking her downstairs. I assumed that he was using his powers to psych her out a little. I could be wrong though.

You know, I never even thought of that. Good point. I thought they were just doing stuff to freak out us, the viewers. lol Maybe that will be clarified further in a later episode.
